About Me

I am Carla, founder of Dom José handmade truffles 🇵🇹 and an aspiring Junior Developer currently learning with SheCodes.

I moved to Portugal 10 years ago and started my chocolate business, creating truffles inspired by local flavours like caramelo, lima limão and chocolate negro. Over time, I realised I wanted to add a new chapter to my story and bring that same creativity into tech.

Through SheCodes, I'm learning HTML, CSS, responsive design and Bootstrap — so I can build beautiful, accessible websites that showcase brands like mine and tell their stories online.

Running Dom José taught me about design, branding and customer experience. Every truffle is handcrafted, and I bring that same attention to detail into my layouts, typography and components.

My goal is to combine flavour and front‑end: creating beautiful products and presenting them on equally beautiful, responsive websites.
